Following the sentence to the prison of senator Orji Uzo Kalu, the people of Abia North Senatorial district have lost their representative in the upper house.
Raising the issue was Chief Charles Ike, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Abia state, according to his statement issued in Umuahia on Saturday, he said that it was no longer a comfortable thing that the people of Abia North Senatorial District were “totally eclipsed” in the Senate.

“I hereby call on the Senate leadership to quickly declare Kalu’s seat vacant to enable the district to elect a capable replacement”
According to him, voters in the district had set machinery in motion to recall Kalu
