The politics of violence that has dogged the political arena of Nigerian politics once again reared its ugly head in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria on Saturday just days to the presidential election.
Peter Obi was said to have paid a courtesy visit to the Dei-dei International Building Materials Market in Abuja to solicit for the support of the members of the market for the Atiku/Obi tickets, after addressing members of the market, on his way back, eyewitnesses claim that his convoy was blocked by another convoy conveying an APC member, according to reports, the larger APC entourage decided to take law into their hand to attack members of the PDP vice presidential candidate’s convoy.

Luck however ran out on the APC goons when PDP supporters in the neighborhood got wind of the ongoing development and they turned up in their numbers, overpowered the APC entourage and did substantial damage to their vehicles.
A member of the market spoken to said
“This is the Aftermath of PDP n APC clash at Dei-dei (international building materials market Abuja) today…..
“Peter obi came to the market to continue with the Atiku/Obi campaign this afternoon, after his campaign rounds, on his way going back, an APC candidate was passing with his convey they blocked peter and his protocol and started fighting them……
“The apc guys try to attack Peter obi then igbo boys came over and destroyed their cars.”
