The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the 2019 presidential election that was held on Saturday Feb. 23 because, out of the 27,324,583 valid votes collated for the Presidential election, President Muhammadu Buhari got 15,191,847 votes.
According to the results released by INEC, APC’s Muhammadu Buhari got 219,231 votes in the southwestern state of Ekiti, while PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, in all, President Buhari won 19 states, to defeat the other 72 candidates including Atiku Abubakar.

“Muhammadu Buhari having satisfied the requirement of the law and scored the highest votes is hereby declared the winner,”
Top on the list was President Muhammadu Buhari with 15,191,847 votes as compared to Nwangwu Peter (WTPN) who that was last on the list with 732 votes
