Kenneth Omeruo, a member of the Super Eagles team presently slugging it out in the AFCON 2019 in Egypt, scored the winning goal to beat Guinea and secure a place in the knockout stage of the AFCON 2019.

The Super Eagles beat Guinea 1:0 in the ongoing AFCON 2010 tournament through a goal scored by Kenneth Omeruo to give Nigeria victory over Guinea and a place in the knockout stage. In the 73rd minute, Kenneth Omeruo headed into the Guinean net and scored the decisive goal, the match was the Super Eagles second match in Group B of the African Cup of Nations.
The absence of the Eagles captain Mikel Obi did not seem to affect the overall performance of the super eagle’s team as they dominated possession in the second match at Alexandra Stadium.
